How to repair a tarnished star? Step one -- be honest. Even if you're not revealing the whole truth and nothing but the truth, the conceit of offering up a few revelations satisfies most skeptics. Lindsay Lohan is the latest celeb to try this tactic, and if she's over her latest "asthma attack," it just might work.
Searches on the actress/singer are up 87% after word of her soul- (and skin-) baring spread in Vanity Fair (+811%). She's now the top topic overall in Search, and perhaps her admission of drug dabbling and struggling with an eating disorder will help repair her growing image as a kid actor spiraling out of control. Although the starlet's Search vibe has shifted from bodacious babe to ongoing train wreck, her buzz never slowed down.
The VF article caused Search spikes on "lindsay lohan vanity fair" (+1,063%), "vanity fair lindsay lohan pics" (+1,042%), and ex-boyfriend, actor Wilmer Valderrama (+818%). The photo shoot accompanying the article has drawn a fair amount of interest from dudes checking to see if Lindsay's bounced back into babe-dom. Queries on "lindsay lohan pictures" (+74%), "free lindsay lohan pics" (+26%), and "lindsay lohan swimsuit" all jumped as word of the racy photos began to spread. Nothing like a bikini to vault a falling star back into the number one spot.
