College football marched back into the Buzz over the weekend thanks to the debut of this season's BCS rankings. Nearly half of the top fifteen movers from yesterday were related to the all-important rankings...
- BCS Poll (+1,062%)
- BCS Standings (+916%)
- 2006 BCS Rankings (+844%)
- BCS Rankings (+824%)
- Bowl Championship Series (+749%)
- BCS (+743%)
- College Football Polls (+719%)
While Ohio State reigns supreme over the BCS, they only managed a second place finish in Search this weekend. Top honors go out to the Miami Hurricanes, who brawled their way into Buzz. Searches on "miami brawl" (+492%), "miami fight" (+482%), and "miami football fight" (+373%) were just a few of the terms that popped up after the Hurricanes and Florida International engaged in a on-field melee.
We also noticed a surge in video lookups for the fracas, as curious football fans demanded to see the dust-up. Miami won't factor in the BCS, but they did provide college football with one of this season's most buzz-worthy storylines.
