The breakaway hit "Lip Gloss" from New York rapper Lil Mama has given a sparkly shimmer to Buzz. For weeks, the song, its video, and its lyrics have been climbing the Search charts.
Just 5'2" and not yet old enough to vote, Lil Mama is certainly lil. But don't let her size and age fool you. Not only is the petite performer racking up buzz, her appeal stretches far beyond the borders of her native Brooklyn. Miami-Fort Lauderdale, Philadelphia, Detroit, and Houston top the list of metros currently seeking the "Lip Gloss" video online.
This hip-hop singer knows her audience, too. Nearly 80% of her buzz comes from girls under the age of 17. On Yahoo! Answers, "Lip Gloss" earns such high praise as "OMG i love this song!!!" and "This song is the new milkshake song!" It can't get better than that. Lil Mama, your tune is as poppin as your lip product.
