The tour doesn't begin until July, but metalheads are slamming the search box for Ozzfest tickets. And one big change from last year's festival is the reason—free admission. In preparation for last week's opening of the virtual ticket window, fans drove queries for "livenation.com/ozzfest" up by 7,217%.
Since then, we've seen a rise in headbanging interest for "ozzfest 2007 bands" (+1,164%) and "ozzfest 2007 tour dates" (+1,121%), as well as more "ozzfest tickets 2007" and "free ozzfest tickets."
Devotees of harsh vocals and shredding guitars aren't as interested in dialing up info on main stage bands Ozzy Osbourne, Lamb of God, Static-X, and Lordi (winner of the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest). But once those golden tickets are secured, we predict that metaldom will focus on preparing their hearty hails for beloved bands and getting set to rock on.
