With NFL training camps imminent, pigskin fanatics are prepping for their fantasy drafts. Make-believe GMs are poring through sports web sites, compiling information and looking for an edge in their league. Obviously, we've seen the influence of these eager fantasy geeks in the Search box. Over the past week, we've seen spikes on...

  1. Yahoo! Free Fantasy Football (+850%)
  2. NFL Fantasy (+396%)
  3. ESPN Fantasy Football (+351%)
  1. Funny Fantasy Football Team Names (+284%)
  2. 2007 Fantasy Football Mock Draft (+139%)
  3. Fantasy Football Rankings (+123%)

Besides the searches surging in the past seven days, plenty of other early trends are apparent. Fans are studying up on "fantasy football draft boards," "2007 fantasy football player rankings," and "2007 fantasy football sleepers."

While it's difficult to find a sleeper when everyone is searching for the same thing, it's easy to come up with a great team name. However, dudes lacking imagination are busy searching on "best fantasy football team names," "cool fantasy football team names," and "great fantasy football team names." As the season creeps closer, fantasy searches will continue to blitz the Search box. We'll be there to sort them out...
