Indefinite, adjective: "A. not definite: typically designating an unidentified, generic, or unfamiliar person or thing.
B. not precise : VAGUE.
C. Having no exact limits"
—Merriam-Webster
When NFL commissioner Roger Goodell handed down an indefinite suspension to disgraced quarterback Michael Vick, some searchers were baffled. They weren't confused about the reason for Vick's banishment—it was Goodell's choice words that sent fans scrambling for the Search box.
Searches on "define indefinitely" topped our definition search chart as folks tried to pin down a day when Vick could return to the league. However, it's difficult to get your arms around something that has "no exact limits." The commish deliberately left his wording vague just in case any new information in the sordid Vick case comes to light.

I know how indefintely MY indefinte would be for Michael Vick! He'd never play football again, and would have to work for money just like everyone else instead of hurt little animals that would trust humans regardless. He's a confused, misled, retarded, fool that needs to have done to him exactly what he did to those poor dogs. There are entire clubs on the internet that will let everyone know exactly what he is. Fox News started some of them and they were right to do so....he's a has been for not having a kind soul, and I'm glad.

Indefinitely-undoubtful! that it will be that long. What he did was wrong and he needs to re-evaluate himself. The people booing him outside of court was unnecessary! I think child molesters should be held in front of these dogs, how's that?-indefinitely!

To me all professional players are supposed to be roll models to chidren. When they break the rules they should be banned forever. First time last time no second chances, the first chance was getting the honor to be a "Pro".
