Mets Sink, But Not In Search

The New York Mets' stretch-run collapse is the baseball equivalent of Britney's VMA performance—terrifying to watch, yet impossible to turn away from. Searchers agreed. Bewildered fans sent queries on the suggestive "fire willie randolph" and factual "mets suck" sky high following the team's amazin' elimination.

Clearly, life stinks if you're a Mets fan, but for backers of the Padres and Rockies, there's still hope. The two teams play today in a winner-take-all contest for the last playoff spot. Below, we break down the searches on each squad. Play ball!
