And you thought you were the only one looking for original dress-up ideas! Nope. Searches for "unique halloween costumes" are up 59% over the past week. We're sorry to be the ones to smash your pumpkin, but there are tens of thousands of "unique" individuals just like you.

Folks daring to be different are also searching for "unique adult halloween costumes," "unique toddler halloween costumes," and "unique plus size women's halloween costumes."

So what is a unique costume, anyway? We chased the loooooong tail of costume buzz to uncover oddball ideas that only a few folks searched for. What we found tickled us and made us giggle with glee. Here are 20 of our favorites...

  1. Abba Costume
  2. Baby Burrito Costume
  3. Dale Earnhardt Jr. Costume
  4. Food Costumes For Toddlers
  5. Kobra Kai Costumes
  6. Macaroni and Cheese Costume
  7. Naughty Librarian Costumes
  8. Matthew Lesko Costume
  9. Goat Costumes
  10. Boss Hogg Costume
  1. Aerobics Instructor Costume
  2. Dee Snider Costume
  3. Fat Cop Costume
  4. Harry Caray Costume
  5. Kids Zombie Costume
  6. Orca Costume
  7. Pink Ninja Costume
  8. Life Aquatic Costumes
  9. Goth Ragdoll Costume
  10. Dirk Diggler Costume

And we could go on and on. We had to show restraint and keep our list at 20, but the fertile minds of our dear searchers never fail to impress. While the search for distinctive outfits slogs on, keep in mind that the ideas we've exposed above aren't exactly "unique" any more. You're going to have to fend for yourself!
