Expect some OG action at the box office this week, as the true story of a drug lord brings us a fall Oscar contender. As far as the two family alternatives, only one really has buzz. Literally.

1. "American Gangster": Interest has lifted the true crime drama towards the top 500 searches, and searchers hail from a whopping 42 states. Besides lookups for the movie poster, soundtrack, and sneak peeks, people have also been reading up on Frank Lucas and his bio: He draws more than 2.5 times the look-ups of the movie title.

2. "Bee Movie" (PG). Jerry Seinfeld makes his comeback as a bee with a college education, intent on suing the human race for stealing his breed's honey. The film's timing coincides with a PBS series, news stories, and searches on the plight of disappearing honeybees.  The apian animation flick is flying thanks to all the attention, and searches have doubled for the family movie of the week.

3. "Martian Child" (PG). John Cusack plays a widower befriending an orphan who thinks he's not of this world. Critics are lukewarm on this heart-warming comedy drama, and the online interest isn't much better. Of those who are looking, ladies make up 7 out of 10 searches. There is something for the guys: Star Amanda Peet draws the most attention among all actors in a movie premiere this week.

Also on the Buzz marquee... Attention has popped up for the so-called Punk Warlord in the documentary, "Joe Strummer: The Future is Unwritten..." Another documentary follows six activists trying to stop the genocide in "Darfur Now," which features Don Cheadle and George Clooney.
