Nintendo Wii Is Still Hot in Search

Since Nintendo's hit console launched, the wee, white Wii has been in short supply. That's a great indicator of the product's unsinkable popularity.

In Search as in real life, the demand for the Nintendo Wii has been consistently high. The big difference is that Search can actually deliver. Since it first arrived in late 2006, searches on the Wii have steadily increased, and we've got a colorful box to prove it. We merged common search terms for the Nintendo Wii and for the PlayStation 3, along with the Xbox 360 and stacked up their buzz charts over the last year

Now that holiday madness is amassing in the shopping aisles, a Wii shortage could be sad news for the company's bottom line. And phenomenal news for Sony and Microsoft, who should be lining up to woo spurned buyers of the Wii with an Xbox 360 or a PS3.
