The arrival of Thanksgiving is imminent. Do you know how you will prepare your turkey? Searchers who won't settle for second best for their holiday feast sent buzz on "best thanksgiving turkey recipe" up 49% this week.

But what's best for the bird? From our perspective, brine has the most buzz. Searches on "brining turkey" are up a staggering 1,436% this week and related queries on "turkey brine" and "how to brine a turkey" are also basting in the Buzz.

Deep frying comes in a close second in terms of technique. Lookups for "deep fried turkey recipe" are up 577% over the past seven days. Aficionados of crispy birds are also busy looking for "fried turkey," "electric turkey fryer," and "cajun deep fried turkey."

But if you're not into soaking the turkey in salt water or dipping it in a vat of hot oil, there are alternatives. Searches on "smoked turkey" jumped 342% along with related interest in "how to smoke a turkey" and "smoked turkey recipe."

Don't fret if you're stuck on the basics. You're not alone. Buzz on "how long to cook a turkey," "how much turkey per person," and "how to cook a turkey" illustrate that there are always beginning bird cookers with a cornucopia of questions.
