The latest reality series to traipse through the lives of the slender and stiletto'd debuts on Bravo tonight.
"Real Housewives of New York City" will follow five wealthy Manhattanites through the hubbub of charity balls, Hamptons soirees, and (we're assuming) nourishing pitstops at Barney's. Judging by what's bubbling up in Buzz, this socialite spectacle may prove a frothy, uptown hit.
Searches for the series clawed their way up the top searches chart, where they lounged at the #1 slot all day. There was a moment when queries for "gas prices" looked like they might steal the premier seat, but forget it, darling. As we write this, the Big Apple series remains firmly in place.
Meanwhile, a New York Times review of the show and a New York Magazine piece examining the best and worst dressed among the ladies drew high Buzz scores and flaunted the love.
The sparkly new "docu-soap" has also helped its West Coast sister. Searches for "real housewives of orange county" doubled yesterday. Will the newcomers steal the ratings crown and prove to be the real real hausfraus of Buzz? Stay tuned to find out...
