Here Comes the Bridal Registry

Like all other aspects of the wedding industrial complex, the bridal registry has become an increasingly intense affair. Where are you registered? And with how many stores? Have you selected a range of prices for your guests to choose from? What about projecting the exact needs of your household for decades to come? It's enough to make the blushing bride morph into a fire-breathing bridezilla.

Perhaps that's why a GeekSugar post offering tips for creating an online registry blasted to the top of Monday's most popular Science/Tech articles. According to the blog, browsing the virtual aisles of Bed, Bath and Beyond from home (or, you know, from work) allows the future Mrs. to select china patterns and pillow shams without any of the fuss of actually going to the store. Bed, bath, and be done.

Of course, the same goes for the gift-giver. As shoppers increasingly shift to the Web, wedding registries have experienced a boom time in Search. This week's most popular? Macy's. The most surprising? Hello, Home Depot. Hey, it's refreshing to see some rotary saws and power mowers on a list for her and "him". Here are the top 15 bridal registries in Search this week...
