Usually, when we write about prom, it's all about the most fashionable searches for dresses and updos and sparkly shoes. Unsurprisingly, teenage females account for the vast majority of these pastel-tinged queries. However, that doesn't mean the other sex isn't hitting the Web for a little pre-prom research of his own.
Besides forays into "prom tuxedos" and "prom suits," high-school guys have turned to Search for help finding the best way to secure a date for the big night. In the past week, queries for "asking a girl to prom" (+190%), "ways to ask someone to prom" (+400%), and "how to get a prom date" (+132%) all picked up in numbers. (Step #1: Don't wait 'til prom week.)
Another popular term—"creative ways to ask a girl to prom"—surfaces such innovative ideas as the ice cube maneuver, the remote-control car attempt, and the goldfish scheme. From "cute ways to ask someone to prom," we learned how a white board can play into your romantic moment. Aw.
Once you've made the move and met with the roaring success you deserve, it's not too soon to investigate "things to do after prom." Now, go forth and woo!
