The Buzz Multiplex

Each week we take a look at the Hollywood's new releases and rank 'em according to their popularity in Search. Does "Sarah Marshall" draw more buzz than a Jet Li-Jackie Chan combo? Can a tired looking Al Pacino keep audiences awake for 88 minutes? Read on and all your questions will be answered!

1. The Forbidden Kingdom—A martial arts romp tops this week's multiplex. The film is among the week's top 1,500 searches and is hugely popular with kids 17 and under. Folks on the West Coast seem particularly pumped. San Francisco, San Diego, and Seattle are three of the five most interested cities. And as far as which of the two stars boast the most searches—it's close, but the edge goes to Mr. Li. Sorry, Jackie.

2. Forgetting Sarah Marshall—Coming in second is the latest guy-friendly rom-com from the Judd Apatow factory. Jason Segel (who wrote the script) stars as a semi-hapless composer who gets dumped by the titular character. Hilarity ensues as our lovelorn hero tries his darndest to get over Ms. Marshall. Searches on the film are up 65%, though folks are more interested in looking up the film's two hotties. Stars Kristen Bell and Mila Kunis are both more popular than the film itself.

3. 88 Minutes—Don't get us wrong. We love Al Pacino. But this film has all the makings of a trainwreck. Brutal reviews? Check. Sub-par search interest? Double check. Third place in Search among this week's wide releases? Oh my yes! Expect this film to be in the DVD bin by the time you exit the theater.

Also in theaters...

Where in the World Is Osama bin LadenMorgan Spurlock, the man who ate nothing but McDonald's for 30 days, goes looking for the most notorious man on Earth. The film isn't drawing a lot of searches, but it is gaining ground, up 938% this week.

Zombie Strippers—like "Snakes on a Plane," this movie has a title that says it all. Searchers have noticed, pushing the "art house" flick up 123% in the Buzz.
