Sometimes things just click. Such was the case when Star Wars and LEGO hooked up a few years ago. The two very different brands produced toys and video games that combine the best of both worlds. People ate 'em up and asked for seconds. Of course, LEGO is happy to oblige. A slew of new LEGO-themed games is causing a stir in Search.
LEGO Batman and LEGO Indiana Jones will hit shelves this summer. Anticipation for both video games is running high in the Buzz. Right now, Indy is about twice as popular as his compatriot from Gotham City, but that could change. Also drawing significant searches is Halo LEGO—a game that puts the alien-smashing badass Master Chief into a cutesy poo LEGO world. Still more than a few months away, it doesn't have the following of Indiana Jones or Batman... yet.
But the LEGO mania doesn't end there. The hardcore and hopeful are searching for LEGO games that don't even exist. Lookups for "LEGO Battlestar Galactica," "LEGO Star Trek," "LEGO Transformers," "LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean," and "LEGO Super Mario" are on the move. That last one is enough to send gaming geeks into a state of nirvana. Will the fearless Italian plumber go "blocky"? If folks dig Batman and Indy, we wouldn't be surprised.
