Madonna's Shocking Memoir
Cone bras, songs about virgins, dating a wrinkly Warren Beatty—Madonna has made a career out of shocking her fans. One has to wonder if there's anything about the material girl they don't already know. A new biography written by Madonna's brother, Christopher Ciccone, aims to answer the question.
Focusing on Madonna's younger days, the memoir is set to hit book shelves in mid-July. News of the upcoming book, entitled "Life With My Sister," sparked an avalanche of speculative articles in Buzz. What sort of dirt will the book reveal? Is Madonna trying to keep it under wraps? Does she even care?
According to the New York Post, Madge should care because the book is "extremely graphic and devastating." Could the memoir be more painful than her performance in "Body of Evidence"? It doesn't seem possible, but then again this is Madonna we're talking about—expect the unexpected.

Icons Hit the Big 5-0
Madonna is turning 50 this summer. That's right—the woman who attempted (and thankfully failed) to bring cone bras to the masses has been walking the earth for half a century.
And she's not the only icon celebrating the big 5-0 this year. Michael Jackson will have 50 candles on his cake this August. Actor, environmentalist, and cell phone aficionado Alec Baldwin just turned 50. And the artist formerly known as "the artist formerly known as Prince" turns 50 in a few months. Time, it seems, waits for no man, even if he happens to be extremely funky.
We expect lookups for Madonna, Jacko, and Prince to climb the buzz charts in the coming weeks. In the meantime, we tracked down the top twenty "how old is..." searches from the past seven days. Searchers are always interested in learning the ages of their favorite celebs—even if the glitterati would prefer you think they're all 28.

The Madonna Maelstrom
Being a celeb affords a person certain privileges. The best table at restaurants, VIP areas at nightclubs, and oodles of gratis swag. But does being wealthy and famous allow you to bend the rules of child adoption? The maelstrom surrounding Madonna suggests adoption is a touchy issue and has thrust the singer into the Search limelight.
Buzz on the pop icon places her among our top 300 searches, but she's up another 10% this week as her contested adoption of a 13-month-old Malawi boy continues to make news. Searches on "madonna adoption" jumped 291% as both pro- and anti- rhetoric simmered.
The anti-Madonna faction thinks her celebrity shouldn't have given her the opportunity to "cut in line" and tear through the red tape that accompanies an adoption from the African nation of Malawi. Curious about the country, searchers have looked up "map of malawi," "malawi adoption," and "where is malawi."
The pro-Madonna side sees her reaching out and giving a child living in a orphanage a lifestyle most of us could only dream of. Searches on "adoption" are up 12% this week, surely sparked by the ongoing debate. Queries on "international adoption" are also up 7% as folks study the rules regarding going overseas to help a child.
While we don't take sides, we know people have passionate feelings about this issue. Madonna will tell her side of the story on Oprah in what promises to be a buzz-worthy spectacular. You can offer your side in the comments below...
