Sunday night, New York City police officers arrested actress Tatum O'Neal on a charge of possession of crack cocaine. Now, the actress would like to say thanks.
Since emerging from a Manhattan jail, the beleaguered star has gushed to a reporter about how grateful she is that the boys in blue kept her sober. In an exclusive interview with New York Post writer Andrea Peyser, O'Neal said, "Just when I was about to... wreck my life, the cops came and saved me!" Now that's the kind of attitude we like to see.
Apparently, searchers also like it—a lot. Queries for the "Paper Moon" star have blasted into the stratosphere. Lookups for "tatum o'neal" have moved the ex-Mrs. McEnroe into our top breakout movers for the day. Demand for the incorrectly spelled "tatum o'neil" has also roared upwards, followed closely by interest in the grateful one's photos, biography, and movies.
We're happy you're happy, Tatum. Here's to staying sober!
