Among the hottest stories spiking in Buzz this weekend, a WNBA star is called a "traitor," Billy Bob Thornton lashes out at Brangelina, and we learn that the first Incredible Hulk stomped across the land in a furious shade of... gray.
A WNBA "traitor"?
Becky Hammon is a popular player in the WNBA. The agile point guard was born and bred in the U.S.A., but last year she signed a four-year contract to play for a professional team in Russia. Athletes jump borders all the time, so no big deal, right? Sure—until the Olympics sweeps across the world stage. Now, word is out that the one-time South Dakota Miss Basketball will be representing Team Russia in the 2008 Olympic Games, and a U.S. coach has called her a "traitor."
Billy Bob unleashes the "high-school" insult
Acting every inch the disgruntled ex-husband, Billy Bob Thornton has let loose about his one-time spouse, Angelina Jolie. According to AskMen.com, the "Slingblade" actor-director said that his former wife is going through "a high-school phase" with Brad Pitt and she will be "waking up from that dream in no time." He added: "Who knows if I'll be there when she's ready to come to her senses though." Uh, Billy Bob? Angelina might not be the only one in dreamland.
The Incredible (Gray) Hulk
The Incredible Hulk smashed all comers at the box office this weekend. With an estimated take of $54.5 million, the Green Goliath left no doubt that he can dominate the silver screen (this time around, anyway). Among the many stories on Bruce Banner's alter-ego, this annotated slideshow about Hulk's early days drew Buzz readers. From it, we learned that Arnold Schwarzenegger was deemed too short to portray the Hulk on TV and that the first Hulk wasn't green, but, gasp, a colorless gray.
