Throwing sand at the theory that says only the young and buoyant have the right to wear bikinis, 63-year-old Oscar winner Helen Mirren recently rocked a red two-piece and set off a wave of buzz.
Searches on "helen mirren bikini" and "helen mirren photos" both surged into the triple digits and several blogs within the Buzz paid tribute. The Huffington Post notes that it's difficult to believe this is the same actress who played the Queen of England. Meanwhile, a writer for Salon.com wonders if the smokin' photos of Dame Helen prove that it really is possible to get hotter with age.
