Sarah Palin! Do we have your attention? Good, because this was another big week in the Buzz. The Republican VP candidate gave a juicy interview with Charlie Gibson. Meanwhile, Kanye West raised a ruckus at LAX, and Tiger Woods continued his string of product endorsements. Straight up, no chaser, it's the Buzz Week in Review.
Sarah Palin speaks to ABC News
To some, Sarah Palin is an inspiration. To others, she's kind of scary. And to Charlie Gibson, she's one heckuva interview. The newsman asked Palin tough questions about her experience, beliefs, and policies. Not surprisingly, the interview sparked a huge amount of Buzz from bloggers and searchers. Lookups on "sarah palin interview" and "sarah palin abc news" both surged, while blogs offered all kinds of analysis. One question left unanswered: Will the potential VP learn how to pronounce "nuclear" before election day? Stay tuned.
Surprise: Kanye West doesn't like paparazzi
Mega-selling rapper Kanye West was arrested at the Los Angeles airport after allegedly destroying a photographer's very fancy camera. West spent a few hours in custody before posting $20,000 bail. He now asserts that he is "cool with the paparazzi." We presume that sweeping statement does not include the guy whose camera he wrecked. Blogs covered the event as if it were Watergate. You may now add the Buzz Log to the list of offenders.
Putting for dollars
Tiger Woods is injured, but does that stop him from endorsing products? Heck, no! The iconic golfer and professional pitchman saw his buzz profile rise when another commercial for his video game hit the Web. This time Mr. Woods knocks a Rubik's Cube into the cup from a healthy distance. Is it real or special effects trickery? Your guess is as good as ours, but the ad that featured Woods walking on water wasn't exactly "real."
