What's the Buzz: Tina Fey, Secrets, and Sequel Searches

Live from New York . . . On the (high) heels of Saturday Night Live's season opening skit starring Tina Fey as Sarah Palin, Buzz went wild with a surge of look-ups for "snl palin" (+ 3,343%). According to People magazine, the highly anticipated segment parodying Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton (with Amy Poehler reprising the senator's role), led to SNL's highest rated season premiere in years. If buzz is any indication, Tina Fey must perform an encore.

Your secret's safe. . . We were wondering what happened this weekend to cause so many searches on "post secrets" (+253%). The site encourages people to blab their deepest and darkest stories, anonymously, on the back of a postcard and send it in. Then you can read yours and everyone else's online. Don't worry, it'll be our little secret.

Wishful searching. . . Fans of the 2008 J. J. Abrams movie "Cloverfield" are searching for a sequel, "cloverfield 2" (+77%). But searching doesn't make it so. As best we can tell, anyone jonesing for another trip to Cloverfield will have to settle for the DVD version of the original.
