  1. "Christina Applegate" (+2,227%). The actress and breast-cancer survivor admitted to Ellen DeGeneres that she hid her diagnosis from her "Samantha Who?" co-stars until going public in August, according to People.
  2. "Final Destination 3" (+743%). The end of senior year. A night at an amusement park. What could go wrong? Everything. Halloween must be getting near, as searches are up for this 2006 horror flick.
  3. "Columbus Day closings" (+368%). Less traffic, no mail, and banks and schools are closed. Did we save you some time?
  4. "Palin booed" (+609%). The head hockey mom dropped the ceremonial first puck at a Philadelphia Flyers' game and not everyone was happy about it. Although, in fairness, this is a crowd that booed Santa Claus.
  5. "Dust Bowl"(+484%). It's the environmental disaster that caused farmers to flee their homes in the 1930s, compounding the woes of the Depression. Here's hoping history does not repeat itself.
