Some conservatives may still be worried about President Obama stocking his Cabinet with a gallery of liberal bogeymen. Secretary of State Al Sharpton, Attorney General Ralph Nader, anyone? Secretary of Secretaries Bill Clinton?
Well, advance buzz has the president-elect considering a decidedly more mainstream slate of candidates. Illinois Rep. and former Clinton staffer Rahm Emanuel has been offered the Chief of Staff job, and other notables being mentioned for possible Cabinet slots include John Kerry, Bill Richardson, and in keeping with the Obama theme of bipartisanship, Colin Powell. The Huffington Post, Bloomberg, and Politico.com have all run pieces speculating about who will populate the new administration, and the following chart culls names of potential department heads from these and other sources.
