David and Matt: Tales of Virility
When one ponders the physicalities of David Spade and Matthew McConaughey, few similarities come to mind. However, there is at least one—both men are blessed with boys who know how to swim.
Spade, best known for his sarcastic Hollywood quips and lackluster film career, may have fathered a child with Playboy model Jillian Grace. Though the paternity has yet to be confirmed, Spade has gone on record as saying that if he is indeed the dad, he will do the responsible thing. Searches on the diminutive actor surged 1,691% and related queries on "jillian grace pregnant" and "david spade baby" jumped for joy. Fans who failed anatomy 101 pushed searches on "david spade pregnant" to disturbing highs.
Meanwhile, Matthew McConaughey is also soon to be a father. The beefy action star and bongo drum aficionado announced that his girlfriend, model Camila Alves, is carrying his seed. Following the news, searches on Ms. Alves spiked 2,953% with significant bumps for "camila alves photos," "camila alves model," and "camila alves wikipedia." Queries on Matty the Baby-Daddy jumped as well, though Camila was far and away the more popular parent. Hey, she is a model.

Lower Back Tattoo Trouble?
"A 2006 study in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology found that nearly one-quarter of Americans ages 18 to 50 are tattooed. Among them, nearly 20% of the women have tattoos on their lower back, researchers reported."— Rachel Zimmerman, "Why Some Expectant Moms Are Worried About Tattoos," Wall Street Journal, September 18, 2007
We stumbled across Gawker and its spirited stable of commenters having a field day with this WSJ item about whether women should be worried about receiving an epidural through a lower back tattoo. Given the popularity of the so-called "tramp stamp," this question is of utmost national importance. Searches on "tattoo removal" eked out a 5% gain this week—not that there's any correlation. Yet!
In terms of tattoo Buzz, the lower back still leads the parade of body parts looking for body art. Queries on "lower back tattoos" are more than double those of "wrist tattoos." Related searches on "pictures of lower back tattoos," "lower back tattoo designs," and "cute lower back tattoos" are all peeking out over the waistband of Buzz.
Additionally, the story sparked interest in deadening the pain of childbirth. Searches on "epidural" jumped 48% over the past seven days. We also saw a smattering of searches on "epidural tattoo" and "epidural injection."
The study cited in the article doesn't have enough evidence to say definitively whether or not a lower back tattoo is dangerous when combined with an epidural. It's just one more thing to consider as you search on "tramp stamp pics."
Mary-Kate's Mama Joke
It was the tease heard 'round the Web. Last Wednesday, Mary-Kate Olsen appeared on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" to promote her new role in the Showtime series "Weeds." She crossed her legs, tossed her big blond mane, and dropped a flyaway joke that she's pregnant.
Let's stop there. It was a joke. Repeat, a joke. But it's a miracle if females between the ages of 13 and 29 got any work done the next day. Searches for the 21-year-old celeb leapt 1,181%, while buzz on her mommy gag blasted upwards—and kept blasting. One week later, we're still logging queries for "mary kate pregnant," "is mary-kate olsen pregnant," and "mary-kate olsen pregnancy." Girls, she was making a funny!
But it's not just the happily expectant news that stirs up buzz on Mary-Kate's physique. The actress sought help for an eating disorder in 2004, yet we continue to see tabloid stories—and searches—on the topic today. Sure, she's unnvervingly skinny. So are a lot of Hollywood starlets-slash-fashion icons. But none of them saw a 447% surge in "anorexia" queries last week.

Girls Just Wanna Be Moms
This summer's must-have Hollywood accessory isn't a black bag or toy chihuahua. It's an adorable embryo! Starlets like Nicole Richie and Christina Aguilera are in a family way, and searchers are rejoicing at the news.
While Richie's pregnancy has yet to be officially confirmed, searches on "nicole richie pregnant" and "nicole richie boyfriend" have already been puuuuuuussssshhhhed to new heights. The wafer-thin personality is always huge in Search, but her supposed pregnancy could take her to the next level of stardom. Hopefully it'll encourage her to improve her diet as well—if anybody should be eating for two, it's Nicole.
Christina Aguilera's pregnancy is just as buzz worthy. Queries on the formerly dirrty diva jumped 57%, and related searches on "christina aguilera pregnant" and "jordan bratman" (her fella) are both growing. Grammys are great, but if you really want the buzz, get thyself knocked up. Let the baby do the work.
Finally, there's Katherine McPhee. Though not pregnant, she's pumped about the prospect. The Idol finalist recently announced that she wants to have 15 babies. Actually, the exact quote was "I want to have, like, 15 babies." The "like" means "more or less." Perhaps that means McPhee will have, like, 20. Regardless of the final tally, her pro-baby beliefs pushed her searches up 50%. Overpopulation is so hot!

Bump Watch: Oscar Edition
On Sunday, Jennifer Lopez and Naomi Watts each sauntered down the red carpet, posed in a gauzy Empire-waist gown, and caused more than one Oscar-watcher to wonder whether the lovely lady was exhibiting a newly formed bump. Buzz on "jennifer lopez pregnant" (+107%) and "naomi watts pregnant" (+68%) promptly surged expectantly.
Naomi is, in fact, eating for two. But we've heard no word either way about additions to the family of J.Lo. If it's any consolation for La Lopez, she's not the only star to suffer questions this week about being knocked up. Over the past seven days, the following celebs have sparked suspicions in searchers minds about who's going to be a mommy (or daddy) and who's just put on a little extra padding...
